Answering the call

My sister and her granddaughter were over my Mother’s house this weekend. When her granddaughter got a little out of hand, my sister told her she was going in time out. Time out consisted of my sister holding her for a few minutes, then she would put her down to run around the house again. I found it interesting because her granddaughter is only one years old, and I thought to myself “what does she know about a time out”? What blew my mind was the ...

Psalms 37:23 The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his ways (ESV). This scripture has delivered me out of the hands of the spirit of frustration and aggravation on many occasions. Why do I say that? Because this life is not an easy one to navigate through, especially if you're trying to do it on your own. You're in the decision making set daily, and trying to decided which decision is right for your life. If we all are honest, we can admit that sometimes we feel ...

I had this dream some time ago that has never left me. Every time I think about it, it's like I am literally experiencing it again. This dream was so real that it feels like a memory of a place I actually visited. You know how you sit and think about the places you've vacationed, and you start thinking about all the fun things you did, and the funny things people said. Yep that is exactly what this dream feels like, and it was so glorious that I desire to go to that place again! I guess you'r...

I have always tried to be obedient to everything that God leads me to do. I had a list of things that God had for me to do this year and I was adamant in completing them. How many people know that when your assignment is outside of the scope of things you are used to doing, the task seems ten times harder to complete? When it's something familiar although there might be some agitation it's easier to tell yourself I can do this, because you have done it before.

I believe God gives us the...

Can You Bless The Lord In The Midst Of Your Trouble

Posted on November 9, 2015 at 8:25 AM Comments comments (0)

Psalm 34:1 says I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Is this your confession today; and if your answer is yes do you understand the ramifications of the confession? It is extremely easy to bless the Lord when things are good and all is well. We praise God for our jobs and good health, and when our children and family's are fine. It's easy to bless the Lord when we are in our season of abundance, and our cup runneth over.

 However what ab...

God Has The Final Say!

The Bible tells a story about a man name Jairus, he was a synagogue leader. He had a twelve year old daughter who was very sick and on the verge of death. He went to Jesus for help because he heard about all the miracles Jesus was performing and (catch this) he believed Jesus could heal her. Jairus sought out Jesus and pleaded for His help. Jesus agreed to his request and they were on their way to Jairus house. There were a lot of distraction and interruption as they traveled. Listen to this ...

Proverbs 18:21 says Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. When we look at this scripture we must realize that our words hold great power. Just think about it, your words can cause someone to come out of darkness and be whole. However, that same tongue can release words that can send someone into deep depression and literally kill them. Yep, that's right you heard me clear, your words can literally kill someone. You can strip someone ...

Jeremiah 32:27 says Behold I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me? What a question this is, and the fact that God is asking it absolutely blows my mind. Life throws all kinds of things at us and sometimes these obstacles seem to be too hard to bear . We pray and we ask God for direction and help to get us out of situations. We do well at first to follow the Bible and in prayer and supplication make our request known unto God. However when the weight of some sit...

Psalm 28:7 says The lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. I love this scripture for a couple of reasons. The first one is because it lets me know that the Lord is my strength and my shield. Have you ever been so tired that you didn't even feel like blinking. Could you imagine having a great battle and you defeat your adversary, and then another adversary comes and you have to do it...

How To Break The Spirit Of Fear

Posted on October 4, 2015 at 1:00 PM Comments comments (0)

Has this scenario ever happen to you? God place a vision in your mind to do something great or small, and your initial thoughts were that's a great idea. Then as you sat there thinking about how you could bring the vision to fruition, doubt began to creep in. Then you start to feel overwhelmed and your thoughtsbecome how can I possibly pull this thing off. You start downingyourself saying “Well I can't do it because I don't have the skills or the knowledge.” You tell yourself I ha...

I can remember having the worst tooth ache every. No seriously, it was so bad that I thought I was going to lose my mind. The kicker was that it began on a weekend so I had to wait to Monday morning to go to the dentist. Listen I had never been so happy to see Monday morning in my life! I couldn't sleep, think straight (have you ever been in so much pain that your thoughts wouldn't cooperate with you?) I couldn’t eat nor get out of bed, I was just down right in pain. I remember being en...

I truly believe that conversations are keys to unlocking what's been stored away in us. Conversations can also be mirrors to show us our true reflection that we otherwise couldn't see. When I wrote my book, Women On The Wall, booklet the Road To Purpose and Destiny and blogs, I write it as if I'm having a conversation with my readers. Why you ask? Because I believe that you're always one conversation away from your breakthrough, deliverance, healing and your purpose and destiny. I truly belie...

The Bible says in Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord hath appeared of the old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. I love this scripture for a couple reason, one is because of the intimacy with the Lord that is displayed. When you see that the lord expressing his love don't it just make your heart melt? ( watch how sweetly he expressed his love) The scriptures says the Lord said " I have loved thee with an everlasting love". (W...

Children Are Our Future So Invest In Them!

Proverbs 22:6 says train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. As our children are returning back to school I want to make sure we are fully preparing them for the school year. I know that you went out and purchased their nice outfits or their uniforms. You purchased their books, book bags and all the necessities you think they will need. Some people would stop right there because they believe that's all that their children need.

After You've Done All You Can To Stand, Stand Firm

Posted on August 23, 2015 at 9:45 PM Comments comments (0)

There's a scripture in the Bible that says when you have done all you can do to stand: stand firm. I often times sit back and think about this scripture, especially when I'm going through a test (take my word for it I've been through and going through a lot of tests!) I find it interesting that the scripture says "when you have done all you can". I find it interesting because when you say “all” that means I already gave it my everything. The definition of all is the whole of (used...

He’s Got Your Back!

This week I'm on vacation, Yes taking a much needed rest! Listen I don't just write the things in my blogs I live them, so I said “Yes To Rest!” However I could not let this week go by without giving a word of encouragement to the people of God. I feel this in my spirit right now that He’s Got Your Back! Who’s He? God, and He’s got your back! He not only has your back but he has your destiny in his hand. I don't know a...

Pursue It Until You Subdue It!

Psalms 18:37 says, I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again til they were consumed. This scripture is very powerful and is absolutely a road map we can follow. Why do I say that? Because somethings are not just going to be handed to you on a platter or you get it on your first try. There are things that you want in life that you have to be Persistent in order to get it. I'm not talking about giving it that old Boy Scout try, I'm talking about going after somet...

Say Yes To The Rest!

The Word of God says come to me all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Mathew 11:28). Life has away of pulling you in all different kinds of direction. The hustle and bustle we endure in our work lives, ministry lives, and personal lives is enough to make anyone just tired! Have you ever been so tired that you couldn't even think straight? No seriously! I am talking so tired that someone asked you your full name, and your mind is completely blank and you can't answer. I...
