BE CONTENT IN EVERY SEASON

I find it interesting that people complain about the seasons of nature; the same way they complain about the seasons of their life. This winter and every cold winter I hear so many people complain about the weather. The sentiment is "I'm sick and tired of the cold and the snow, and I can't wait for spring to come". The thing that really gets me is that these people are New Yorkers and have been living on this earth for many years and have experienced many, winters so it's not like it caught them by surprise. Before we went to school and were taught about the seasons of the year we experienced them.

Just like there are different season in nature there are different season in our lives. What we must realize is there are cycles or seasons that we must go through in nature and also in life. Each cycle needs the previous cycle to be completed in order for the next one to go forth. We are born as infants and we go through different cycles in life i.e. Toddler, childhood, adolescent, teenager, young adult and it goes on until we are seniors. Every season will not be the same it's all about learning and growing to become a better you. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 13:11 “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child but when I became a man, I put away childish things”. When you’re in your child experience you experience childish things because that's what that season calls for.

What I want you to understand that there are different seasons that we must go through in nature and also in life. The Bible explains it perfectly in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 “To everything is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted. A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together, a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to loose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace”.

Listen people of God there are many different times and season that we must go through in this life. Every one of those times and season are different and are needed to teach you something in order for you to grow. Every season is needed no matter how uncomfortable you feel in that season. In order for you to get to the beautiful spring and summer season where the weather is warm, the trees and flowers are bloomed and everything is pleasant and fun. You must first go through fall where the flowers are dying and the leaves are falling. Then winter where the flowers are gone, the trees are bare and the cold and snow have reign. Your life is no different you have to go through sad times to get to the happy times. The lonely times, the I don't have enough times, the longing times to get to I have more than enough times.

People of God lets go through our season without complaining because we now understand that we must go through them in order to get where we want to go. We also need to learn how to make the best out of whatever season we're in. My moto is celebrate whatever season you’re in because you’re not in the season you were in and, therefore there's Movement! So enjoy every move because when there's movement that means you’re not motionless!
