Don't Jump The Gun!

Posted on 12 April, 2015 at 23:05

It's amazing when God speaks to you, and tell you all the great things he’s going to do in your life. However he does not tell you when or how he is going to release these blessings. We being our human selves begin to try and put together the plan of God into action. When you think about it, it's pretty comical that the created is trying to help the creator with His plans. Seriously we really think that the Alpha and Omega, the creator of all things, the one that spoke man/woman into existence needs our help. There's no need to be ashamed of it, for at some point in our lives, we all have jumped the gun and tried to help God with his plan.

There's this scripture that I love to read whenever I get the urge to help God out. Isaiah 40:13-14 “Who can fathom the spirit of the Lord, or instruct the Lord as His counselor? Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten Him, and who taught Him the right way? Who was it that taught Him knowledge, or showed Him the path of understanding?” After I read this scripture I ask myself can you answer “I did” to any of those questions? Of course my answer is no, and then I remind myself God doesn't need your help He Got This!

Listen when we jump the gun and try to help out God we make a mess out of things. God told Abraham that he would be a father of great nations and, Abraham thought that would be an amazing blessing. However there was a problem, his wife Sarah was old and pass the age of baring children. Sarah being her human self decided that she needed to help God out with his plan, because she couldn't fathom how at her age she could carry out God's plan. Well the story goes that Sarah came up with her own plan (to help God) and she had her husband Abraham go and lay with her bond woman Hagar. Abraham followed his wife plan and laid with Hagar and, she became pregnant and had a son name Ishmael. However Sarah’s plan was not God's plan but because of her actions there is conflict from her time until even now. Why do I say that? Sarah did have a child just like God said at the age of 90 and they named him Isaac. Now the two women were in conflict because they both believed that their son was the rightly firstborn heir of Abraham. Because of the jealousy and fighting over who would receive Abraham’s inheritance was so intense between the two women, Abraham had to send away his son Ishmael and his mother. Because of Sarah's plan to this day the Jewish and Muslim people are in conflict.

People of God don't jump the gun! If God revealed to you what he is going to do in your life, let Him do it. Everything that God spoke, he brought it to pass, even opening up a 90 year old woman's womb. The Bible says that God is not a man that he should lie, so know that if He said it, He will do it. Listen God does not need your help He’s capable, qualified and His Able! Don't Jump The Gun Wait On The Lord!

I Love You With The Love Of The Lord
