Psalms 18:37 says, I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again til they were consumed. This scripture is very powerful and is absolutely a road map we can follow. Why do I say that? Because somethings are not just going to be handed to you on a platter or you get it on your first try. There are things that you want in life that you have to be Persistent in order to get it. I'm not talking about giving it that old Boy Scout try, I'm talking about going after something with everything in you and when that runs out you keep on going on E! I call this relentless faith, when you know God said you can have a thing and you won't stop until you get it!
I talk to people all the time and I hear the stories about the things they need God to do for them. In the initial conversation they are faithful meaning they believe that God is going to do it. They speak so powerfully " I'm not going to stop until I get my blessing, I'm going to run on and see what the end is going to be". I hear this one a lot too "I can do all things through Christ Jesus and you watch I going to make this thing happen, because I got Christ on my side". However after some time has passed and it didn't happen their affirmations change. Those same people who were faithful began to question the very thing that they believed God told them. They not only question it but they are now doubting that God spoke to them in the first place. (isn't it amazing how someone can be so zealous about something one minute, and then be absolutely fractured next)
The word of God says " I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: (watch this) neither did I turn again til they were consumed". Somebody needs to get this; you will not over overtake, consume, succeed or walk into your destiny if your pursuit is not persistent! The word of God says (don't miss it) NEITHER DID I TURN AGAIN TIL THEY WERE CONSUMED. Just because it gets rough or it doesn't look like it's happening as fast as you’d like it to, don't turn back!
Listen I know what it feels like to go after something and feel like all of my running was in vain. I remember when I was going through the process of writting my book Women On The Wall, and was going through the editing process. I had to keep making changes and I was a little frustrated, because when I thought I was finish and finally going to press, I had to make another change. However I knew that God gave me this book to write and I refused to turn again until the book was completed and published. I pursued it and I accomplished what I set out to do. Why? Because even when obstacles were put in my way, I had relentless Faith!
People of God Listen if God spoke a word to you, remember the Bible says His word cannot come back unto Him void, but shall establish what it set out to do. I wanna encourage somebody today to not give up on whatever it is that you are believing God for. I know you've been at it for what seems like forever, but just hold on and don't turn again until that thing is finished! You're almost there; keep pursuing, it shall be yours!
I Love You With The Love Of The Lord
