I realized at a very young age that the favor of God was over my life. I saw the first manifestation of favor and the love of God wrapped up in my Mother. When I think about the word of God the verse that says “He will put a shield of protection around you…” I am absolutely sure my mother was part of that shield. My Mother did everything in her power to assure that her children were taken care of. She was not perfect and at times made mistakes but in my eyesight she came pretty close to perfection.
The person that I am today is mostly due to my Mother, because she took the scriptures seriously. The Bible says train up a child in the way they should go and it will not depart from them. My Mother understood that her children may depart from what she taught us, however what she taught us will always be with us. Some people get that scripture confessed and believe that if they train a child in a certain that they will never walk away or depart from that training. However they must realize that everyone even their well trained children have free will, and unfortunately sometimes choose a path otherwise. Parents should not be too alarmed if their children stray from their training, because what you must understand once the training is in them it will never depart.
That means your voice is always in their head, and at some point in their lives gets so loud. Then it becomes the loudest voice you hear and over shadows your own voice and literally change the course of your life. I'm a living testimony my mother raised us in the church and when I came of age I wanted nothing to do with church. I called myself living my own life, but I could never get away from the training that my Mother installed in me. No matter how hard I tried what was in me wouldn't let me be comfortable living outside of what I was trained to do.
Today I love the Lord and is a faithful servant, and I'm so glad about it.
Listen people of God if you're raising children, teach them about God and take them to church. Once you do that it’s smooth sailing from their because what you put in them it will always be there. I know sometimes their actions look crazy and you say I raise you better than that. However you must always remember that the seed you sowed in your child is in there. You’re just waiting for it to grow to the point where you start seeing the fruit of your labor. What you must understand in the meantime you must show the kind of love the Bible talks about.
The Bible says Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
People of God listen if you have children you should be the first manifestation of God’s favor and love for your children. If you want to reap a great harvest you must sow greatly into your children. I admonished all the mothers who are Godly labor and sow greatly into their children. I promise you your labor is not in vain so keep on working.
